Read the book, don't discriminate the writer

When I read the report, I noticed that male writers are more read and famous than female. 

In my case, I'm a Harry Potter huge fan, and they're one of the most famous books and films in the world. Curiously, the writer is a woman, J.K Rowling, whose real name is Joanne Rowling. But, comparing with all the male writers with famous books, it's very annoying the lack of women that are read.

Another sad fact, is, going to the old ages, where there were some women that loved to write, and they have famous books too, but named as a man. The machism was so high, that women had to change their names in their books, or people, especially men, wouldn't read any of them. 

Is so sad the conclusion to this report, because it shows that if you are a woman, it's more difficult to be famous with your book for example, than if you are a man. 

This is Joanne Rowling who is famous by the name of JK Rowling or Robert Galbraith.
